I also learned how to color correct images in photoshop, and I used the software to edit a lot of my pictures since then. The editing skills that I learned during the course helped me to improve my designs.

I am listing a few of my favorite tools/techniques that I learned in Photoshop.
Creating art in photoshop:
The software has the option to use the brush tool. This tool can be adjusted, designers can adjust the width of the brush stroke and the opacity of it. What I really love about this tool is that there is an option to download brushes in the shape of trees, flowers, spray paint, the moon, grass etc. And this can be used to create digital paintings.
History brushtool:
Is another tool that I really enjoyed, this tool is used to add color after an image has been edited black and white. I used this tool to make jewelry and make up pop out.
Hair selection:
This was especially the most challenging part for me. This was a precise hair selection that we learned in photoshop. Where we had to cut out the subject from the background and afterwards use channels and mask option in photoshop to make a precise hair selection.
Mask:
A simple option in photoshop but it can do so much.
This is one option that you can use and manipulate a pictures to a different level.
Text:
First I didn’t knew what to do with text or what kind of effects I could use for my text, this is one of the important things that I learned using this software.
How to add shadow to text, how to make it 3D or give it an metal effect.
Text is really important especially when your are working on a poster/flyer. This maken make or ruin your poster.
Gradient effect:
I tend to use this a lot while designing posters. The gradient effect can be achieved by using different colors on the background or a shape to get this effect.
Clone stamp tool:
This tool is great for removing unwanted objects from an image, repairing damaged areas of an image, or for creating a seamless patchwork of textures and colors.
